When it comes to producing match-grade ammunition, Black Hills Gold frequently collaborates with the nation’s best bullet makers. The South Dakotan business apparently didn’t think too hard before loading Hornady’s 155-grain ELD Match into its 1C308BHGN12 308 Win cartridge.
The bullet in this round isn’t just any polymer tip. Because Hornady’s Heat Shield tip is 100% deformation-resistant, the ELD Match’s precisely sharp, symmetrical, and supreme meplat will not be compromised by severe aerodynamic heating. Also, the concentric AMP jacket and swaged lead core of the ELD Match provide rotational stability.
Although the ELD-M bullet has a boat tail, its ballistic coefficient is much higher than that of a standard HPBT bullet. When shot from a 26″ barrel, this bullet has a ballistic coefficient of 0.470 G1!
Every round in this package contains a bullet that has been meticulously seated, as well as the quality brass and match-grade primers needed to group shots tighter than ever before.

Shot this ammo on a 200 yard range, with an 14.5 inch AR and a red dot. Almost all of the hits were in a 6 by 6 inch target, nicely clustered together. I was quite pleased, since I hardly could see the target
